Working in conjunction with a local design and construct builder ‘Econstructions’ the concept design provided by them was developed and documented to provide the  builder with building permit and construction documentation to suit the client’s ultimate needs. The dwelling was initially to provide a holiday retreat in the Victorian coastal town of Torquay which would then transition to a permanent residence in years to come. The house embraces a form of contemporary sensibilities which married with earthy and sustainable materials presents a home sympathetic to its seaside setting.
