Disability Support Design
Disability Support Design is the process of planning a dwelling to meet the specific needs of a person with a disability or impairment and support them to maximise their potential. Accommodation for Persons With Disabilities (PWD) are usually designed to comply with the Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards 2010 and related Australian Standard AS1428 Design for access and mobility and other regulatory requirements and guidelines governing safe and equitable habitation.
